Lou(2) Yu [3623] According to Fenghua XZ, 19.966, he moved to Kaifeng, but apparently, based on CBD, he moved his permanent residence to Yinxian. According to Lou(2) Yue, the ancestors of this family moved from Wuzhou to Mingzhou, Fenghua county at some unknown date. They were hereditarily wealthy and powerful in the community and Yu's grandfather was selected as a county clerk (xian lushi). Yu's father, Gao [19921], was the founder of the county school and a learned man. After his retirement he became known as one of the 5 Siming xiansheng along with Shu(2) Dan [1483] and Feng(2) Ji [11372]. Yu's sons Chang[3613] and Guang [19923], grandsons, Bian [19925] and Yi [3218], great grandsons, E [19971], Hong [19972], Yue [3624], and Yong [15256] and 6th generation descendant, Wen [19975], all earned jinshi.
