Xue(1) Huiyan [10577] Zhejiang TZ, 125.2b; Xue Jixuan, WJ, 33.1a-38b. Ancestors traced to Hedong and a Pi [18773], who moved to Piling (Changzhou) during the Yuanshi period (1 A.D. - 5 A.D.) of the reign of Pingdi. According to the genealogies of the descendants of Xue(1) Guangde [18740], first of the Hedong Xue, the family did not move to Hedong until 264 A.D. However, the date corresponds, roughly, to the time that Xue(1) Yuan [18742], Guangde's grandson, moved to Luoyang and also to the period when Wang Mang usurped power. I am going to assume that Pi was a lineage grandnephew of Guangde and that the Hedong reference was an anachronism based on the later address of the distinguished northern branches of the lineage. There is neither a date or name for the ancestor, who moved from Changzhou to Fuzhou, Changqi (modern xiapu county)--I arbitrarily name him A [18774] and move him in 321 A.D. CBD, 5, 4199.
