注
Li(2) Di [1096] Jinshi # 1. His ancestors were Zhaojun Li(2). His great grandfather, Zaiqin [19144], moved from Youzhou (Liao territory) to Pu(b)zhou. Di moved to Kaifeng. Di died in the capital in 1047, twelve years after he had retired from public service. Although most of his descendants are listed as Puzhou(b) residents, where they probably still maintained the family registers, they actually lived in Kaifeng. Huizhi's [1036] and Dongzhi's [1104] father, Chengzhi's [978], and Suzhi's [1086] uncle, Xiaochun's [1028] granduncle, Wei(2)'s [1108] great great grandfather, Chen(1) Guan's [67] brother-in-law. Father-in-law of Zhang(1) Xun(2)'s [232] grandson, Chong [3124], Xiang(2) Minzhong's [705] grandson, Jiang [3350], Chen(1) Yaosou's [97] nephew, Xigu [3065], and of Wang(2) Zhi(1)'s [7079] youngest brother, Duan [3987]. Yizhi(2) [1042] and Lizhi [1056] have the same generational name as his sons and nephews. Xiaoguang [1029] and Xiaobo [1030] have the same generational name as his grandsons and grandnephews. A grandnephew, Xiaoshou [3503], was a client of both Zhang(2) Dun [333] and Cai(1) Bian [8131]. His nephew Jizhi's [3479] son, Xiaocheng [3501], was Cai(1) Jing's [1649] client. A nephew, Yanzhi [3546], was appointed to a minor post in the Bian river water conservancy administration in 1058. The sources are confused as to which are sons and which are nephews. I take Zhang Fangping's funerary inscription as definitive. Zhang Fangping, WJ, 36.11b; XCB, 86.6b, 87.13b, 90.10b, 188.15a; Ouyang Xiu, WJ, 27.5b; SS, 310.1b. CBD, 2, 850-1.
