Xiao(1) Yi(2) [12285] He served in the administration of the Ma(2) rulers of the Kingdom of Chu. Ma(2) Yin, founder of the 'dynasty' was enfeoffed as king by the Latter Liang in ca. 927. He was succeeded in order by his sons Xisheng, Xifan, and Xiguang. Xiguang was assasinated by his youger brother Xi'e, who became king. A Xu(3) Wei (not in dataset) deposed Xi'e and placed his younger brother Xichong on the throne, who was the last ruler before Li(2) Jing (Yuanzong) [3485] of Southern Tang conquered Hunan in 951. The Ma(2) rulers of Chu are not yet included in the dataset. (Morihashi, Vol. 6, p. 455). Yi left during disturbances, probably after the assasination of Xiguang, and was granted 10,000 (mou ?) of land in Yuanzhou, Xinyu (later Linjiang, Xinyu county) and settled his family here. Yu Jing, WJ, 20.9b. Other sources have his son Chujun [3363] moving, but this sounds more plausible.
