Ma(2) Liang [1349] His ancestors were Fufeng jun Ma(2) and, therefore, Renyu and Fu must be lineal descendants of Tong. They moved to Xuzhou, Pengcheng xian, then to Luzhou, Hefei xian. A Southern Tang high official Ma(2) Renyu [3667], who died in 942, has exactly the same sequence of addresses, and must be kin with Liang's ancestors who lived during the Five Dynasties. Liang was Zhongfu's [1346] father, Zhen's [1343] and Ji's [1348] grandfather, Zhu(1) Ang's [512] son-in-law. Liang was the father-in-law of Zhongli(1) Jingyu [7210], Lu(9) Jujian [1300], Lu(9) Yijian [8100], Zhang(1) Quhuo [186] and his brother Qushe [3125], and Xin(1) Zhongfu's [737] grandson, Xin(1) Youzhong [3369]. Xin(1) Youzhong's son-in-law, Ma(2) Yu [3670], and Ma(2) Shao [1351] both had the same generational name as Liang's grandsons. Our sources confuse Ma(2) Liang with a non-existant, Feng(2) Liang, in the following citations: Jiangxi TZ, 9.12a, 13b; Fujian TZ, 4.7b; XCB, 47.6a, 60.4a, 61.21a, 62.5b, 67.1a, 5b; SHY:ZG, 42.15a.
