Chao(2) Shengzhi [13541] zi=Shengdao. I am making several arbitrary and problematic assumptions. Shengzhi is clearly a member of one of the two branches of the Song Chao(2). I identify him with branch 'b.' I identify Xujiang as destination of move at beginning of S. Song, because of shared name of Xu. Xujiang is not listed in Hope Wright or in Diming Da cidian, but seems to refer to Xuyi jun and Jiangzhou, both of which Chao(2) Gongmai [12] administered as prefect, which is used to explain his decision to settle in Fuzhou (see Zhou Bida, WJ, 75.1b). I suspect that there was some textual confusion and that Zhou Bida, who is also author of the text identifying Shengzhi, indicates the same relationship. I am guessing that Shengzhi is also a son of Duanyan [14] and brother of Yongzhi [3028] (zi=Shendao) and Yuezhi [3029] (zi=Yidao)--all three have zi = X+dao. CBD, 3, 1947.[Kinship with Duanyan is not yet checked. 與晁端彥的親戚關係未考。]
