Cheng(1) Gongyue [13806] I am identifying Gongyue and his brothers as descendants of Qi [3098]. All Meizhou Cheng(1) seem to be members of branches of the same root lineage, whose ancestors moved from Changan here with Xizong in 880. Since the generational names do not coincide with those known for other branches of the lineage, these are probably grandnephews of Dunshu [3150] (or grandsons). Both the Sichuan TZ and the Song Shi identify them as Xuzhou, Xuanhua residents, which may be a new home. Sichuan TZ, 123,29b has Gongyue as a 1211 jinshi, which with address, probably represents an attempt on Xuanhua to claim them as residents. CBD, 4, 3036.
