Sun(1) Kang [1531] His ancestors lived in Hangzhou, Fuchun (Fuyang in Song) xian, and one of them (Wang(2) Anshi [1762] does not name the person who moved and names Shimu [21337] as Kang's great grandfather, but Zeng(1) Gong [7364], in funerary inscription for Kang's son, Shi(2) [21345], identifies Shimu as Kang's great great grandfather and the person, who moved; I use Zeng(1) Gong's genealogy) moved to Huizhou during the Tang. Kang was granted the eqivalent to the jinshi in 1027, followed by a series of offices and then he earned the degree (again) in 1038, which must mean that he was well down the list in the earlier exam, although his name does not appear in the local histories' jinshi lists for this year. Yixian jinshi Fu(5) [21341], Kui [21342], and Ting [21343], on basis of generational name, same county address, and chronological logic, must be cousins and, therefore, nephews of Kang's father, Suiliang [21346]. Sun(1) Hui [1527], a very active fiscal official in the late 1070's, 1080's and early 1090's, must be a nephew, based on generational name, chronological logic, and the connections between this lineage and Wang(2) Anshi. Kang's son-in-law, Zheng(1) Anping [3269] (jinshi, 1070), was a member of a Suzhou, Wuxian local lineage.
