注
Tang(2) Xun [1595] His ancestors were Luguo Tang(2). His fifth generation ancestor moved from Beihai to Hangzhou, Qiantang xian. His great grandfather served in the administration of the Qian kings of Wuyue. Since he had the same office as the great grandfather of Jie [1593], Rengong [3824], Rengong was Xun's great grandfather as well and the two branches of the lineage shared a common ancestry to this point. Rengong's son, Wei(2) [17853], Jie's grandfather, moved to Jiangling, whereas Xun's grandfather, Tang(2) Xiong [3823] remained in Hangzhou and held public office. Ouyang(1) Xiu [1384] in funerary inscription for Tang(2) Gong [3829] (q.v.) has Rengong's father as Xiufu, whereas Liu(2) Zhi's [8089] inscription for Tang(2) Jie has him with mingzi, Xiyan [17869], both both have him as receiving a mingjing degree in the Tianfu period of Tang (Xiufu was probably a zi). I follow Liu(2) Zhi, who seems to have had a genealogy in front of him and Xiyan's identification in Xianchun Linan zhi, 60.13b. Ouyang(1) Xiu mis-identifies Rengong's office as Tangshan ling, which was the office held his grandfather, Xiong [3823], according to Liu(2) Zhi, and by Rengong's unnamed grandfather according to Liu(2) Ban's [1220] inscription for Xun. On the basis of an imperial edict requesting samples of writing as a criterion for recruitment, Xun was allowed to take a decree examination, which he passed, after having first used yin to enter the civil service. Su's [1600] son. Affinal relation of Jia(3) Changchao [8031] and Zeng(1) Gongliang [8136]. His son, Jiong [3828], was a client of Wang(2) Anshi [1762]. There is information on coalitional struggles in the biographies of Xun and Jiong which follow that of Su in the Song Shi. Related to Ke [1597] (qv.). Shared a common ancestry with the Jiangling branch of the lineage, which can be traced to the departure of Wei [3832], the great grandfather of Ke's lineage uncle, Ji [3825]. XCB, 168.9b, 177.12b-13a; Xianchun Linan zhi, 65.23b; Liu Ban, WJ, 38.1a; SS, 303.9a-11a. CBD, 3, 1778-9.
