Qian(1) Ye [16173] Ouyang Xiu, WJ, 25.1a-3a; Wang Anshi, WJ, 99.1021-22 (wife, born Jiang(3), who died in 1054 at age 70). According to Wang(2) Anshi [1762], the Jiang(3) were a hereditary wealthy and powerful lineage in the community (shi zaijie) and kinsmen used the jinshi to reach high office. She is clearly related to Jiang(3) Tang [465] and Jiang(3) Zhiji [461] and generational logic would make her the niece of Jiang(3) Jiugao [16119]. According to Ouyang(1) Xiu [1384], the Qian(1) originally were a Pengcheng lineage, whose ancestors moved to Wuxing and Ye's 7th generation ancestor, Bao [16172], moved to Changzhou. Whereas other Qian(1) kin either established the kingdom of WuYue, served in the administration of WuYue or became officials in the Southern Tang government, this branch of lineage was not illustrious and hid their virtue (yinde) until Ye.
