Xu(3) Yin(2) [18582] Yin was the documented 7th generation ancestor of Duo [7248], who was the documented uncle of Ying [11370] (q.v.), who was the documented cousin of Que [746] (q.v.), who was the documented great grandson of Changsi [11365]. I am, therefore, arbitrarily assigning jia 'a' to Changsi, a fifth generation descendant of Yin, jia 'b' to Ying, 8th generation descendants of Yin, Ying's brother, Zhao [11371], and their descendants and jia 'c' to Duo, his brother Rui [18583], and their descendants. In addition, Ye(1) Shi [10749], in his funerary inscription for Xu(3) Yi(2) [18588] (q.v.) identifies a grandson of Yin (who is described as a zaixiang of Wang(2) Shenzhi [11520], king of Min, which explains the role played by Xu(3) Changtu [11366] in the return of southern Fujian to Song at the beginning of the dynasty), who moved to Wenzhou, Pingyang county (also the destination of Yin's 7th generation descendant, Duo). Yi's two grandfathers, perhaps an adoption here, Zhongxi [18585] and Shichong [18586], would be chronological 8th or 9th generation descendants of Yin and, therefore, 5th or 6th generations of the grandson of Xu(3) Yin, who moved--I am making them 6th generation descendants. I am designating this branch of the lineage as jia 'd.' Fujian TZ, 146.6a.
