Ju(3) Xizhong [21429] There are a number of problems with Wang(2) Anshi's [1762] funerary inscription for Xizhong. First, he dates jinshi in Jingde 6 (to establish his family branch of the lineage [qijia]. According to Wang(2) Anshi, he used the Kaifeng Junyi xian quota (by 1051, a part of Xiangfu county [modern Kaifeng county]). There was no Jingde 6--this nianhao had only 4 years-- and the only jinshi sitting was in 1005 (Jingde 2). Sichuan TZ, 122.7b dates jinshi in 985, which is impossible unless date of death is wrong. Date of death may be right, since he raised his elder brother's maternal grandson, Yin(2) Gou (not in dataset), after his parents died--a Yin(2) Gou's [7405] father was Zhu [7104], who died in 1047, but there is also a Chengdu Yin(2) lineage and I suspect that the common mingzi is coincidental. I assume that Xizhong's jinshi was in 1005. Xizhong's elder brother, Xigu [21433], is listed in Sichuan TZ, 122.6a as a Five Dynasty jinshi. This would make him much older than Xizhong.
