Zhang(1) Mian [262] His ancestors were wangzu Fanyang jun Zhang(1), who moved to Poyang and later to Jianning, Pucheng xian. They all served in the government of the Southern Tang except for Mian's father. His mother was a Zhang(2) Shi. Wei(5) Yu's [1949] son-in-law, brother of Yang(2) Yi(3)'s [7097] wife and husband of Wei(5) Guan's [1945] sister. When he was eight, his father died and he lived with his sister [Yang(2) Yi(3)'s wife] in Kaifeng. Mian then moved to Suzhou, Wuxian. Feng's [7011], Shen(3)'s [229], and Hui(4)'s [7157] father, Xun(3)'s [233] uncle, Yuanfang's [328] grandfather, father-in-law of Hu(1) Xiang [7250], Bian(1) Qiu [7316] and Shi(4) yuanzhi [7336]. Zhang(1) Yuanbi [3178], the husband of Chao(2) Buzhi's [13] sister, has the same address and generational name as Mian's grandsons. Another of Mian's sons-in-law, Diao(1) Wei [3846], has the same generational name as Diao(1) Zhan's [1634] sons and nephews. Mian was the grandfather-in-law of Shen(2) Liao [1453] and Su(1) Yi [1502]. His grandson Yuansu's [3179] father-in-law was Han(1) Zhengyan [635]. A nephew, Yi(3) [3148], is identified as such by having the generational name of Mian's sons, the Qinghe choronym, and a Suzhou address. (See Liu Ban, WJ, 38.13b). Yi(3) was Gao(1) Ruona's [911] son-in-law and the father-in-law of Liu(2) Ban's [1220] youngest brother.
