Zhao(1) Bozhang [26267] The Imperial genealogy for Bozhang and his cousin, Bolu [26268], seem to be very corrupt. No sons are listed for Bozhang, which may reflect that he had no surviving grandsons and some text is missing from the funerary inscription for his wife. In Bolu's inscription, however, younger brothers are listed who do not appear in the genealogical tables. Morever, Bozhang is grandson of the 13th son of Shitan(2) [15980], whereas Bolu is grandson of the #5 son of Shitan, which would predict that Bolu would be the older than Bozhang rather than the opposite. It is not impossible however, that a younger cousin might either marry earlier or begin having sons much earlier than an elder cousin. CBD has Bozhang indexed as Bowei (same radical, different phonetic), but no Bowei appears in teh genealogical tables. Bozhang's only daughter first married Liang(1) Gaoren and had three sons, Gongding, Gongbi and Gongwei. When she remarried Li(2) Hu [20577], Bozhang's wife, born Lu(9), raised her daughters sons by Liang(1) as if they were their own and educated them with her son Shihan in such a way that Shihan did not know that they were not his own brothers. This is one of the more interesting cases of widow remarriage. Wang Tinggui, WJ, 45.9b-11b (wife, born Lu(9), who died in 1156 at age 55). CBD, 4, 3495.
