Hu(3) Xi [26869] Some way or another, the draft of his funerary inscription in Yang Wanli's collected papers became mixed in with another inscription for a Liu(2), CBD, 3, 2736 has his father identified as Jishan, who is the father of a Shan in Yang Wanli, WJ, 132.8b. Since his father-in-law #2 is identified as Dong(1) Changyi [26861] in the latter's funerary inscription, but not in Xi's funerary inscription in Yang Wanli, WJ, 132.19b-22a, I am assuming that the ancestry in Shan's funerary inscription, which has Dong(1) Changyi as father-in-law #2, is the correct one. In other words, the last portion of Xi's funerary inscription is from someone else's funerary inscription, whereas the last portion of Shan's funerary inscription is for Xi. The copiest must have shifted right after Shan is identified, who must be Liu(2) Shan. The last portion of Xi's inscription is probably that of Liu(2) Shan, and the last part of Liu(2) Shan's inscription (after wives and children are identified for the first time) is for an entirely different person since that person was married to a Liu(2).
