Ye(1) Hao [27446] His probable son, Shi(2) [27445], entered the service on basis of father's yin. Shi(2)'s unnamed father was the first of his three patrilineal ancestors to hold office and even earned a posthumous title. Therefore, Shi(2)'s father must have earned the jinshi. There are several chronologically possible Jianan Ye(1), but the sequence of generational indicators in Shi(2)'s family--water to wood, leads me to believe that Hao, generational indicator metal, was Shi(2)'s father.
