Zhang(2) Jie(2) [334] Dun's [333] grandson (Fujian TZ, 148.19a, which also still has him as a Pucheng resident, whereas Zhejiang TZ, 124.29b has him as a Changxing resident. I am treating as son of Ze [14805], who seems to be the first member of this lineage to move to Huzhou. Appaently the sons of Fu [336] [Yongkang resident], and great grandsons of both Jie(3) [345] and Dun used the water radical in their mingzi. I am treating Changxing Zhang(2) with the water radical and a Changxing address, not otherwise identified, as nephews of Jie(2). XNYL, 34.14a, 46.9b, 67.7a, 70.7a-7b, 75.11a, 83.13a, 84.9b, 85.10a, 86.21b, 92.13a, 112.1a; Guangdong TZ, 15.10a; SS, 328.31a; Songshi yi, 40.16a. The patron-client relation between Qin(1) Gui [8008] and Zhang(2) Jie(2) is cited, with other coalitional data, in Zhu(1) Xi's [3257] funerary inscription for Weng(1) Mengzhi [4031]. Zhao(1) Ding [8024] wanted to purge Jie(2) because of the guilt of his grandfather Dun, thereby leading Jie(2) to rely on Gui. When Ding died, Weng(1) Mengzhi composed an eulogy and was, in effect, impeached by Jie(2) and purged by Gui. See Zhu Xi, WJ, 91.27a-29a. CBD, 3, 2079.
