Pan(1) Haoqian [3691] He entered the service via the posthumous honors granted his father-in-law, Chen(1) Dong [14765], who was the imperial university student that led the protest against the dismissal of Li(2) Gang [8078] and who was later executed in 1127 for again requesting the re-appointment of Gang and the dismissal of Huang(2) Qianshan [8065] and Wang(1) Boyan [8142]. The yin, therefore, must date from after his death when Zhao(1) Gaozong [9010] repented, granted Dong posthumous titles and probably at the same time granted office by grace to Dong's agnatic and affinal kin.
