Dou(1) Yujun [3850] He established an independent family (qijia) branch of the lineage by gaining office under the Later Tang, later serving Song at the beginning of the dynasty. Since his father and grandfather both followed civil service careers, qijia here, as probably true in most--if not all-cases, means established a separate jia, probably with a new jiapu--no doubt starting with his father, Sigong [21627], and then his patrilineal descendants.
