Wei(5) Liaoweng [4001] The primary sources for the complex kinship organization of Wei Liaoweng's family are as follows: His grandmother, born Gao (who arranged most of these uxorilocal marriages) wife of Wei(5) Ge [13814], [Wei Liaoweng, WJ, 88.1a-4b]; His uncle Wei(5) Hesun [13817] (one minzi Mingsun, CBD, 5, 4248 has Heshu in error), third son of Ge and heir of uncle and Ge's elder brother Wei(5) Bangda [13813] [70.12b-14a]; grandmother Gao's second cousin, Gao(1) Dazhong [13838] [70.1a-2b] and Daozhong's eldest son, Gao(1) Daochong [13839] [72.9b-11b]; Laiweng's elder brothers, Wei(5) Wenweng [13831] [81.10a-14a] and Wei Yueweng [13828] (both treated as cousins) [72.13a-14b], who were sons of Wei(5) Xiaoshou [13827] (wife, born Gao), # 6 son of Ge and heir of grandmother Gao's elder brother, Gao(1) Huangzhong [13842]. Wei(5) Xiaoshou was also the father of Gao(1) Zai [13843] [88.4b-61], Gao(1) Jia [13844], Gao(1) Chong [13846] and Gao(1) Dingzi [13845] (Wei Liaoweng was Xiaoshou's youngest son and became the heir of Wei(5) Ge's #2 son, Shangxing [13816]); His cousins, sons of Ge's #4 son Wei(5) Nanshou [13818], Shaoweng [13819] and Jingwen [13820] [72.14b-15b]--Jingwen's son Shangzhi (i.e. Gao Side [13847]) was the second son of Gao(1) Zai [13843]. Liaoweng was granted a residence in Suzhou in 1235 and was buried here along with his son Jiahui [13860], a grandson and great grandsons Qi, Xiong and Xian (Qi, Xiong and Xian not in dataset) (YLDD, 2367.14b-15a), another Son Keyu [13855] and his sons Huaguo [13856] , Huayuan [13857] and Huafu [13858] (YLDD, 2367.15a) and his brother Gao(1) Dingzi (YLDD, 2367.12b). None of his great grandsons held office and we can assume that the family had no official status in Yuan. Wei Liaoweng drafted many of the funerary inscriptions years after the person's death. CBD, 5, 4241-4244.From Hartwell's ACTIVITY table:1235: Apt. Tong Jianshu Shumi yuan shi (State Coucil) & strongly declined & apt. Hunan Anfu shi. Harwtell's notes above confuses Wei Xiaoshu (Liaoweng's father) and Wei Xiaoshou (Xiaoshu's younder brother).
