Zeng(1) Zhao [7072] CHECK funerary inscription in his collected papers. Yuanyou coalition. Zhao moved to Kaifeng, Kaifeng xian. He was Yizhan's [7363] son, Gong's [7364] and Bu's [1707] brother, Yi(2)'s [1704], Xun's [7362], Yu(2)'s [1713] and Xu's [7073] father, Yu(1)'s [1712] uncle, Huai's [1701], Zao's [1709], and Wu's [1711] grandfather, Qiang(1) Zhi's [7138] son-in-law, Wang(2) Lu's [7380] father-in-law. His grandson Xie's [3907] aunt was Su(1) Che's [1493] daughter. Xie's son, Yan [3912], moved from Jianchang, Nanfeng xian to Huzhou, Deqing xian. Yan's son-in-law, Chen(1) Guicheng [3072], was probably Chen(1) Guiqian's [3071] and Chen(1) Guiyi's [3073] brother or cousin. Their father, Chen(1) Zongzhao [3088] had moved from Fuzhou, Fuqing xian to Suzhou, Kunshan xian. Chen(1) Guiyi served in the State council between 1232 and 1234 when he retired. He had earlier served a term as Jiangxi tiju during the Jiading period (1208-1224). Chen(2) Guiyi's father-in-law was, Chizhou, Qingyang xian resident Cheng(1) Song [3108], who was Qiantang xian magistrate in the Qingyuan period 1195. Song flattered Wu(3) Xi [4013] in order to become Han(1) Tuozhou's [3326] client and thereby rose from county magistrate to State council in four years. In 1200, he was appointed Co-administrator of military affairs in the State council until the 7th month of 1201 when he went into mourning for his father. After Han Tuozhou was executed and Wu Xi's head sent to court following his attempt to give four of the Shenxi prefectures still in Song hands to the Jin in exchange for being made King of Shu, Cheng(1) Song was dismissed from the civil service and exiled to Binzhou(a) in the Northern Highlands of Guangxi where he died. Wei(5) Liaoweng [4001] earned his jinshi degree in the same year as Chen(1) Guiyi (tongnian jinshi), which explains his authorship of Guiyi's funerary inscription. Lou Yue, WJ, 97.13b; Zeng Zhao, WJ, 4.5a, 23a; Wei Liaoweng, WJ, 87.1a; Yang Shi, WJ, 29.2a; YLDD, 2368.8a-8b. CBD, 4, 2807-9.
