Ge(2) Shengzhong [7263] His ancestors moved from Yangzhou to avoid local disturbances at the end of the Tang and located in Changzhou, Jiangyin xian, where they became prominent in the community. Shengzhong moved from Changzhou, Jiangyin xian to Zhenjiang, Danyang xian. Lizhang's [7262] father, Zhang(1) Pan's [7160] son-in-law, Xu(4) Yang's [793] father-in-law, Shen(2) Xun's [7325] grandfather-in-law. His great granduncle Weiming's [3465] son-in-law was Cai(1) Xiang(1)'s [1651] father-in-law. Weiming failed in his attempt to pass the jinshi exam and retired to accumulate a large library. The father-in-law of Shengzhong's granduncle, Gong [3461], was Sun(1) Mian [1537]. Gong was the first Song Jiangyin Ge(2) jinshi in 1008. Shengzhong's grandson, Tan [3464], was Wei(5) Xian's [7092] grandson-in-law demonstrating a continuing link between the Suzhou and Huzhou branches of the lineage.
